Nova is a Dutch filmmaker and visual artist behind Zola Nova Studio, a studio focused on cinematic storytelling, handcrafted design and immersive visual worlds.

Her work has received international recognition, including international award wins and being selected as part of the Dutch entry for the Oscars.

She studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, the New York Film Academy and the Dutch Film Academy, where she developed a multidisciplinary visual language combining film, photography, design and storytelling.

Nova is a member of the Dutch Academy For Film (DAFF) and is currently developing a feature-length project alongside the illustrated picture book Ting & Tao.

Nova van Dijk regularly gives masterclasses, lectures and workshops. Past engagements include the Netherlands Film Academy (NFTA), the Netherlands Academy of Theatre and Dance (ATD), and the Netherlands Academy of Film and Image (NAVB).
